New Zealand Road Trip | South Island Adventure Day 1 & 2
DAY ONE - FLY INTO QUEENSTOWN
29.5.2016
I had been counting down to our trip to NZ for some time, and was so excited to finally get to see one of the places i had been longing to see for quite some time. The New Zealand South Island has been on my bucket lists of places to go for over 2 years now and I was so incredibly excited for the flight in. Let me tell you, I was definitely not disappointed and it was one of the most magnificent things I have ever seen. Snow topped mountains as far as the eye could see, and valleys, loads and loads of valleys and winding roads that seemed to disappear into no where. The tones were another thing i was in constant awe of. Some incredibly understated and almost muted colours that are put together so seamlessly to create one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Our first day was spent exploring the gorgeous town of Queenstown in Merlin, our campervan which we hired from Britz Campervans(see the one we hired here).
We stopped in at the local Starbucks, grabbed ourselves a much deserved coffee and soaked up some of the free wifi to let our family know we were ok. For dinner we stopped in and got ourselves a famous Fergburger, some groceries and headed back to the campervan park for the night!
DAY TWO - EXPLORE QUEENSTOWN
30.5.2016
Day two was filled with exploring, coffee, delicious food at The Exchange and a bit of shopping. We then decided to make the trip our to Milford Sound. We left late afternoon and would arrive around 6 o'clock to a camp site about 20 minutes away where we would stay the night, and explore Milford Sound in the morning. The drive was beautiful.
