Emma & John | Runnyford -NSW Wedstival
When I received an email with a very familiar name at the top of it, I was over the moon that my beautiful friend Emma had even considered me to document her wedding day. I met Emma a few years ago in my fashion photography days. She is a talented all-rounder and is a jack of all trades. Emma's sister Brooke has modeled for me numerous times, and Emma being the awesome girl she is has assisted on many shoots, doing hair, styling and creating a whole lot of laughs. Emma's other sister Jayde is also a friend of mine as she runs the wedding and events at a local venue that I shoot quite a lot at. Plus Emma's Mum, Sheralyn, is one of my biggest fans!
When Emma asked me to be a part of her and John's day I was so excited. I knew whatever Emma & John had planned would be amazing and so special, because they are both such caring and beautiful people. Their day was nothing less than mind blowing-ly amazing!
Emma & John's wedding took place on a property on the far South Coast of New South Wales in an area known as Runnyford. Chancey (the name of the property) is actually Emma & John's little slice of heaven. It is situated out in the bush, with a beautiful river and a beautiful drive in. The pair basically built their whole wedding venue and although there might have been a few hiccups along the way with all the wet weather in the lead-up, the pair built the most incredible structure, with the help of their new neighbors(the week before the wedding) to seat them and their many guests.
Emma being the creative and talented soul that she is, designed and hand made her bridesmaids dresses, the flower girls dress(which was actually a mini version of Emma's gorgeous dress) , John's vest, and the matching page boys vest too! Emma and her bridesmaids designed and styled the whole event, including the beautiful table scapes, all the floral design and even made the napkins!!
The day was incredible! Actually, I think incredible is an understatement. It was beyond amazing.
Not only for all the beautiful details, or the stunning location or any of that. But because it was two incredibly amazing families, both being Irish, coming together to celebrate the love that they share. Plus what do you get when you put together two awesome Irish families? A whole lot of love, laughter, mud, singing, and dancing. As well as THE LONGEST party! In fact, the following morning we were still sitting by the fire, and even after I had left, they still went on for a few more days!
Now that is what I call a WEDSTIVAL!
